Why Collabs Tool

The work happens where your files already are

Most online tool sites upload your file to a server, queue it, and show you an advert while you wait. This one does the job in the tab you are already looking at.

More about Collabs Tool
  • Instant, because nothing uploads

Most tools here finish before you would notice a progress bar. There is no upload, no queue and no server round trip — the work happens on your machine while you wait, which is both faster and cheaper than any hosted alternative.

  • Private by construction

Your files, text and generated secrets never leave the browser. There is no storage bucket to breach, no retention window to read about and no third-party processor in the chain. Close the tab and the data is gone.

  • No sign-up, no limits, no watermarks

Every tool is free and unrestricted. There is no account, no daily quota, no email gate and nothing stamped on your output. Batch processing works from the first visit.

  • One place for everything

Image conversion, PDF work, text utilities, developer tools, SEO checks and everyday calculators share a single interface and a single design language, so you learn it once and use it everywhere.

  • Built for the task, not the funnel

No interstitials, no fake progress, no upsell before the result. Each page opens with the tool and puts the explanation below it, because that is the order people actually want.

  • Works on any device

Mobile-first layouts, full keyboard support and no plugins. The same tool behaves identically on a phone, a tablet and a desktop, and respects your system's dark-mode preference.

How it works

Open a tool, use it, close the tab

Four steps, the same on every page, and for most tools the whole thing is over in under ten seconds.

  1. Find the tool

Search from the homepage, browse a category, or follow a related-tool link. Every tool has its own page with the same predictable layout.

  2. Add your input

Drop files onto the upload area, paste text, or fill in a form. Nothing is transmitted — the input stays in your browser's memory.

  3. Run it

Press the primary action. Processing is local, so most tools complete in well under a second regardless of your connection.

  4. Take the result

Copy to the clipboard or download the file. Preview before you commit, reset to start again, and nothing is retained afterwards.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

The things people ask before trusting a site with a file.

Are these tools really free?

Yes. Every tool is free to use with no account, no trial period and no daily limit. The site is supported by unobtrusive display advertising on high-traffic pages, and a premium tier is planned for later that will add server-side processing for very large files, saved history and an ad-free experience. Nothing currently behind a tool page will ever move behind a paywall.

Where does my data go when I use a tool?

Nowhere. Almost every tool on this site processes your input entirely inside your browser using JavaScript, the Canvas API, WebAssembly and the Web Crypto API. Your files are never uploaded to a server, so there is no copy for anyone to access, log or retain. When you close or refresh the tab, the data is discarded. A small number of tools that genuinely cannot run client-side are clearly labelled as server-processed, and each one states what happens to the data.

Do I need to install anything?

No. There is no software, no browser extension, no plugin and no desktop client. If your browser is reasonably current — Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari from the last few years — everything works. Tools that depend on a specific browser capability tell you before you start rather than failing silently.

Is there a file size limit?

Each tool states its own limit next to the upload area, typically 25 MB for images and 50 MB for PDFs. Because processing happens in your browser, the real constraint is your device's available memory rather than a server quota. Very large files may be slow or may fail on a low-memory device; the tools report this clearly instead of hanging.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. Every page is designed mobile-first, and touch devices can select files from the photo library, files app or camera directly. Performance depends on the device — a large image conversion or a long PDF render takes noticeably longer on a mid-range phone than on a desktop, but it completes.

Can I use these tools for commercial work?

Yes, without restriction. There is no licensing condition attached to output produced here, and no watermark is added to any file. Use the results in client work, products, marketing material or published documents.

How do you handle cookies and analytics?

Minimally. The site uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies — a theme preference and a list of recently used tools, both stored locally on your device rather than sent anywhere. Analytics are privacy-conscious and aggregated; they record which tools are used and whether they errored, never file contents or personal data. The full detail is in the Cookie Policy.

A tool did not work for me. What should I do?

Check the browser console for an error, try a different browser, and confirm your file is under the stated size limit. If it still fails, contact us with the tool name, your browser and version, and a description of the input — please do not send the file itself unless it contains nothing sensitive. Reports like this are how the error-rate monitoring works, and fixes ship quickly.
