Rescues flat, hazy images
Scans, foggy outdoor shots and low-quality camera phones all suffer from compressed tonal range; raising contrast restores separation and makes the subject read.
Push photos from flat and hazy to crisp and punchy with one slider.

Overview
Widen or narrow the gap between dark and light in any image. A single contrast slider rescues flat scans and tames harsh lighting, all on your device.
Contrast is the distance between the darkest and lightest tones in an image. Raising it pushes darks darker and lights lighter around a mid-point, which makes edges and textures stand out. Lowering it pulls tones toward the middle, producing a softer, flatter, often more nostalgic render.
Raise contrast for hazy scans, foggy landscapes and product shots that look washed out. Lower it for harsh midday sun, strong flash, or portraits where deep shadow lines are unflattering. Most everyday phone photos sit slightly flat and benefit from a modest lift to 110-130%.
Contrast and saturation reinforce each other, so a big contrast lift can oversaturate; balance with the saturate tool. For dark images, fix brightness first, then add contrast, because contrast applied to an under-exposed image mostly deepens already-lost shadows.
The adjustment is a canvas filter applied and re-rendered on your device for every slider position, then exported as PNG. Nothing is uploaded at any point, so personal or confidential images stay private.
Step by step
Drop an image onto the upload area or choose one from your device.
Drag the contrast slider; above 100% adds punch, below softens.
Watch shadow and highlight detail — stop before either clips.
Download the adjusted PNG at full original resolution.
Why use it
What this tool is good for, and what it deliberately does not try to do.
Scans, foggy outdoor shots and low-quality camera phones all suffer from compressed tonal range; raising contrast restores separation and makes the subject read.
Lowering contrast below 100% is the quick fix for blown midday sun or aggressive flash, pulling the image toward a gentler, film-like look.
Each slider move re-renders from the untouched source on a local canvas, and the PNG export never leaves your browser.
