Imitating a radiograph

An x-ray film records density: dense material blocks radiation and stays light, while softer areas go dark. This tool fakes that by inverting the image's luminance — bright becomes dark and dark becomes bright — then tinting the result a cool blue-white so it reads as medical film.

Is this a real x-ray?

No. It is a visual effect that imitates the look of a radiograph by inverting luminance and tinting it blue-white. It has no medical or scientific meaning.

How is it different from invert?

Invert flips each colour channel to its opposite, keeping hue. X-ray first collapses the image to grayscale, then inverts and tints it, so the result is a monochrome blue-white negative.
